Just Look At This List: Maison Premier

A couple of weeks ago I had the ultimate pleasure of going to Maison Premier for Oyster Brunch. It was nothing less than sensational. The Oysters were the best I’ve ever had (Malpeque PEI and Vancouver BC), the French Toast was to die for and the Cocktails, WOOOOOOW!! JUST LOOK AT THIS COCKTAIL LIST Y’ALL!

Maison Premier is known for Absinthe, so I started there. And since I’ve been taken over by #TikiTheSnowAway, I started with the Maison Absinthe Colada. It was fabulous, just totally fabulous. The ingredients listed on the menu are Mansinthe, Rhum, Crème de Menthe, Pineapple and Coconut syrup. What was not mentioned was Greek Yoghurt and OH HOW I LOVE A COCKTAIL WITH GREEK YOGHURT! So awesome! Such an incredible Colada, such TIKI!

To say that I then abandoned the Absinthe list for the regular cocktail list would be incorrect because: MAISON SHERRY COBBLER. FOUR KINDS OF SHERRY! LOOK AT ALL THE FRUIT! AAAAAAAAAh. Ingredients listed are Amontillado, Manzanilla, Oloroso, Pedro Ximenez, Lemon and Blueberry Jam. But for real, LOOK AT ALL THE FRUIT! This is the most cobbled cobbler in 100 years. I don’t think I need to mention that it was delicious, but I will anyway. Nothing is better than four kinds of Sherry and 10000 lbs of fruit. It’s heaven.

I can’t wait to go back, I would go every week if I could but then I’d have to go to Williamsbarf once a week and we all know how I feel about that. There is a reason I live in Prospect Heights and not North Brooklyn. Mhmm.

Luv y’all, happy Brunching to you wherever you may be!
